The Supreme Court
This is my first post that involves the supreme court and how influential it is in our nation, and the US as a whole.
Many petitions of court cases are made by many different people, from everyday prisoners who want to prove themselves innocent to the president, defending his power. The Supreme Court is the most powerful court on earth, making big decisions and upholding the rule of law, receiving so many cases and accepting very few. The few selections of these cases can be heavily argued upon depending on the case.
It is said that "The power of the court is the power of the trust that is earned. The trust of the American People." My opinion I take from this is that the people should really listen to the Supreme court since they decide in cases whether or not it has to do with the constitution. It is the power of the court to review all actions in all parts of government and deem them constitutional or not.
A majority of people these days think of the Supreme Court and the judges as "activists" who have too much power or think that there ruling is unfair, but they fail to realize the serious heavy decision-making process that the court makes. It is because of the supreme court that we have our own rights, so if the people would be willing to listen, than we wouldn't have as much controversy with the court or the government as a whole. This is especially important considering the rough times that we are in and how we can easily fight against it.
